Horny Toad and I were able to catch The Police in concert the other night. Big Flashback to 1980 something when we saw them in Montreal. Just as awesome! Anyway, on my way to the Fun Spot this AM, I was deja vuing (?) and listening to Synchronicity and everything went according to plan! Now the weird part is mornings are usually a jumble of misconnections, disruptions, stops and starts but today none of that. Everything was synchronized!! I arrived at the watering hole* for my rocket booster*, drove right in, ordered, picked up and was on my way. The road to the Fun Spot was traffic free! My favorite parking spot ~just waiting for me to pull in. Of course, once inside I could not listen to Synchronicity and the day promptly took a nose dive. However, for that short period of time ~Awesomeness! I think I will play that song every morning and see if I can acheive synchronicity on a regular basis. There’s magic in that music!
Auntie’s Daily Inquiry- What was your favorite concert ever???
Have a SYNCHRONIZED DAY! and a Wild Weekend!!
LOVE the Police! Was the concert awesome? I grew up in the eighties and their music always brings back memories big time for me. Especially “Don’t Stand so Close to Me”. So eighth grade!
Glad you had a good time. Hope your day at work got better….here via Michele! Have a great weekend!
Please note, because I am fond of you and your very new blog, that I will refrain from any anti-Sting talk. Yes, I do this for you!
My favourite concert: Oh there have been many, however, let me pick just one…..
Two years ago the Rolling Stones were in town rehearsing for a world tour. They put on an intimate show for one hundred people at a night club. Tickets were ten dollars each and people lined up all night for a chance to purchase one of them (they only sold one ticket per person) One of my cousins is part-owner of the club, he called and asked if I was interested in attending.
My reply: What a stupid question. Please do not tell anyone we are related.
It was a wonderful concert because of the small crowd, the not traditional stadium setting, and well, it was THE STONES!
That would probably have to have been the 1981 reprise by Pink Floyd of The Wall tour — at Wembley Stadium in London, I believe it was. Absolutely incredible music and amazing stage show in which they build the wall in front of you only to have the plane crash into it to bring the whole thing down….
Amazing experience.
Of course, Paul Simon’s Rhythm of the Saints tour was pretty good too — and Sweet Honey and the Rock live at the Point on a summers afternoon in Pittsburgh was great…. Elvis Costello live when he was still with the Attractions…. damn, but I went to some kick-ass concerts years ago!

Don’t you love it when the world just…gels?
It doesn’t happen to me when Sting is involved, but I can appreciate the experience!
Favourite concert? Probably Bon Jovi at Wembley Arena or Maybe Prince…then again, Tears for Fears were great. But I can’t forget about ..Arghh, I can’t chose.
Oh – Michele sent me!
I get that feeling when I am listening to a great tune on the way to work as well
The best concert I ever went to was in 1988 (I think) when I saw Pink Floyd on their Momentary Lapse of Reason tour. hey were awesome. Truly.
Thanks for dropping by my blog.
Robert Plant, two summers ago…ooh la la!
I saw Sting in concert in high school and it was awesome!
The best concert I have ever been to? I am pretty picky when it comes to concerts, and I have loved every one I have ever been to.
I think the best was Gomez at The Wiltern (in Los Angeles) Great venue, wonderful concert. We were right in front, the music was amazing. It was such a great vibe. And the wonderful thing about Gomez is there are three lead singers, and everyone switches instruments. So one song this guys playing drums, next song he’s playing keyboard. I have never seen a band play like that. Good times
Montreal! Cool! That’s my hometown. My brother attended the Police’s invitation-only show at the Spectrum the night before their big concert.
Small world!
Michele would agree, which is why she asked me to visit your wondrous site and say hi again.
